yeah, pretty much what I mean. the diffuse makes it look angular, but parts of it look soft. primarily the part under the out-cropping of the rock (upper section)
I see what you mean now you mention it, I should be able to fix the proportions with the verts I have, then fake the rest with normals and diffuse. Thanks
The diffuse channel (1st channel) can overlap and do whatever you want but the lightmap UVs (2nd channel) need to be unique. They should not have an effect on eachother :D
