Update: The ray tracer is working, the engine is in good shape, gameplay wise walking around etc. works. The story is fleshed out, but..... sadly my last Artist has too much on his schedule to continue this project, hence I'm looking for a new artist to create an amazing looking world. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgMFxx8Txkg"]How to Model a Sword for Games pt. 5 - YouTube[/ame] Rendered the sucker down and made me a vidya. Will continue to post in here as long as people don't complain that I'm just bumping a post or whatever. Conversely, you could just subscribe to my channe. ;)
Then I moved to metal surfaces just yesterday: I really like how the leg armor is going, but I have to adjust a few things about it before I can continue. What's great is that I don't feel like I'm fighting the program anymore - who knew painting could be fun, right?
Site looks good enough. Simple and to the point, which is good. You just need to continue to improve your work. The Hummer has a lot of potential..it looks pretty solid. Most of your textures are super saturated, and you have harsh/bright lighting on everything. That really knocks you down presentation-wise.
Quickie update before I head home :D This is for a material library for work: I'll post some more tomorrow (I've got 10 others ones from the library to upload), and perhaps some of the continuing work I've done on the textures in my first post. Destroy my butt w/ crits pls!
Well, do you want to continue on as an animator? Or do you enjoy being a TA? If you have the work to support a TA I say cut one together. If you want to be an animator, nothing wrong with showing some TA stuff in your reel. In games, an animator well versed in MEL is a big plus.
Thanks for all the reply's everyone :) I'm not going to reply to everyone's individual post, but I will say thanks to everyone, as this has calmed me down a fair bit. I will be sending the 'week 2' follow up on Friday, and continuing to work on my portfolio, and apply to as many other places as possible. wasabi: Best of…
Unless they changed something, its the same thing as the yiynova. Same UC-logic digitizer, same issues, same source.... just rebranded under another name. I dont think its good competition for Wacom, the quality difference is just too vast. I would continue to stick with Wacom for the time being.
thanks everyone! I'm sorry some feel the price is a bit out of their range. If you are a student or have special circumstances feel free to contact me at rich@rd3d.com and we can discuss special discounts. Hopefully in the future I can continue helping the community out with tools that make their lives easier! -Rich
