For some reason, the banners on your main page are scaled from 903x169 (a reasonable size) to 540x101, which is rather small. Each of your pages continue this squishing. I'd move the navigation tabs (portfolio & contact) from above your title banner to below it.
Also, what the fuck? Is this due to poor business decisions/management, low sales numbers or what? I'd love for the people responsible to get some flak themselves for once, instead of continuing to come up with poor strategies and receiving large bonuses every year.
Thanks Mr.Fisher84 I've had a few days off to catch up on life, gaming and comics. Work continues now on this model. I'm having material issues. If anyones interested on helping here's the thread. Thanks http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1601659
And he's not even been here a year yet! I think this is one of the best Gears environment sets thats been made here. It's probably the richest section of the new DLC pack, the resolution is amazing as is the continuity between pieces, its very authentic feeling.
Belias gets more points than some of you simply for continuing to post in spite of people being douchebags whenever he asks a question. To Belias: The original design wasn't anything complex to begin with, but I'd take Alberto's advice to heart even still.
Its been a while, I've been busy with other things, but I put some more work in to this level, and will continue working on it for the next week or so. Any ways, heres the most recent update (small screen I know, but you get the idea:)
I think the pipes at the bottom would look much better if they were actually continuous. Here's a crappy paintover: You might also want to try a different color scheme, seems like you color picked PhilipK's sci-fi walls :P
Felt like working on the low poly for a bit.. Really love making nice and continuous low poly meshes, probably my favorite part of the whole process :) Saves texture space, waaay easier to bake and they also look pretty cool I think!
Well, did another few hours on it a few days ago and couldnt post......things are coming together.....next tasks are to continue fleshing out the cockpit and do the rear shock unit....both will be good fun, just the kinda stuff I like doing!
Working on a new personal project, did mainly the torso this weekend. Planning to continue with hands and maybe wings next week. Still planning to refine the overall and adding more details, just blocking out specific parts now. C&Cs welcomed and appreciated!
