I get this as well... except mine "flickers" for the duration, as opposed to the lag. I raised the issue on another forum a while back, like... years ago. A lot of people had the same issue and we never did work out how to stop it. I've sort've just learnt to "deal with it".
Almost a whole day, without posting? Unacceptable!! Sooo on an unrelated elephant note, here's the ward I've been working on with Shock and Godzy! Sir Frosty!!! (there were real animations here before the exodus from Imgur.) I've since fixed the flicker in of the snow on the spawn. Besides that, what do you guys think?
Another update. Things to do: - Decals - Geo around chairs and stuff to make them feel more grounded and like they actually intersect with the other pieces - Maybe re-light again? - Figure out how matinee works and how to render out a sequence. Anyways.. And playing around with the lights flickering on in the beginning for…
I haven't used Toolbag 2, but for TB1 there is no way to get a true orthogonal view. However you can get it pretty close by hold down shift while rotating the camera to snap it into the right rotation and setting the FoV (under Render) to something small like 3 (anything smaller will make the model flicker).
Thanks man - I made mention of that line in the texture update post: "Maya also seems to have some alpha sorting issues - the fur by the hooves on the left image should look like that on the right." They flicker back and forth based on viewing angle in Maya, and that front angle seems to be a bad one - go figure .

I've been having exactly the problems described with a flickering UI. I'm running Max 2012 SP1 on Win7 x64 with a quadro card. Turns out that disabling Nvidia Nview desktop manager has made my UI work properly again! Hope this helps some other people here.
You're probably right. I hear Nvidia might be releasing a driver for release and I'm not the only one getting nasty framerate drops or weird green graphical flickering. I hear there's a trick where you max the graphics and then lower then to sort out the lag. Might try it when servers are back.
+1 on the make it one minute, maybe 90 seconds as turtles are slow and need time... That was great to see! I also love the extra touches like the fan and little turrets. Edit: In the UDK material, could you play with the material on the light so it flickers slightly and has a fade? Just an idea.
It's up on apple. And yahoo movies if you prefer windows media. http://www.apple.com/trailers/warner_independent_pictures/ascannerdarkly/ I'd assume it's the same technique used in "Waking Life" but slicker, so yeah it's probably rotoscoping. Months and months on end of artists tracing over low production footage. The…
