It's been a while since I've posted, after being in such a slump for so long managed to finish this asset https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Jl6Zw0 with the help of my mentor Georgian Avasilcutei and friends. Concept created by Even Lim https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Bmz2yA any feedback would be appreciate it.
I'm very new to modelling and I saw this post: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=146928 and wanted to do my own blade. I've never done any baking or normal mapping, so I'm going to skip that bit. Wish me luck! this is my target.
Stole this from the polycount twitter feed, so THANK YOU whoever posted it! Such a beautiful short film. Enjoy! http://www.conceptruin.com/ Also... Breakdowns and making ofs and such. http://www.oddballanimation.com/concept-ruin
How do you guys usually plan out your environment and maintan a good timeframe to finish it off? Do you often try to work after a concept or you use them mainly for an idea or reference? Do you make a blockout first or start with one texture and then the next one and start to do blockouts afterward?
