I tried the trial. They sent it to me to try out. It's really nice to navigate the scene with. With these 3D navigators, the cool thing is you can zoom, pan and arc rotate simulaneously (takes a little getting used to). You can kind of imagine a viewpoint and then just go there. We did tests with this back with the PS2 and Xbox. Maybe it was just the particular engines we tried (Renderware & Gamebryo) but each one was a little bit different. Renderware preferred smaller textures while gamebryo was happier with larger sheets. I'd say it depends on your platform and engine pipeline, ultimately.… -
