Are your drivers updated? I know it's kind of a dumb question, but sometimes hardware like the Sound Card get rarely updated and can have issues that cause lock ups. -

Quick update regarding versions of the tools used: Max and Maya: 2016 .fbx version 2014/2015 updates are installed I've just checked this on 3ds max 2014 and it's the same. -

An excersize in updating last gen assets to PBR. Have a few other old projects that I plan on updating to PBR as well. You can find breakdown on my artstation. -

avg is great, but it updates a lot and then keeps complaining that it wants me to restart the computer so the update process is complete ;) . i believe it came out best at some tests also ?. -
