Remake of the gunboat from Red Alert, for a mod I'm working on. 604 triangles and a single 256x256 diffuse map. The blue parts are the housecolor and change in-game depending on the player colour. I agree with alot of what has been said, but i would also say you should check out some sort of grid system, like http://960.gs/. You get flexibility of using column widths in a variety of combinations with the same total width. It will make it easier to put it together when you have finished with your design. -

I am just about to build a rig as well, with similar specs - although I am having issues with the Sandybridge. Is there a huge benefit to getting a processor with inbuilt graphics? I think I am leaning more toward the i7-960 with 12GB of RAM. Definately go with an SSD drive though, and have all your read/write… -

If you don't consider that, it's a much better choice than the GTX 980, in a performance to price ratio. Amazon UK is also selling the 970 on sale. For an AMD card you have to wait some months, they don't have the new 300 series ready. To get the same performance of a GTX 960 you need a thermonuclear reactor to power up…
