I've finally wrapped up a game development video diary I've been working on for way too long! :) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQi5Pr9Viy0&fmt=22&hd=1"]Video Game Development from the Deep - Episode 1 - YouTube[/ame] Its about a game I've been making for funzies in Unity: -Max
I have been working on a water material in UDK and my subconscious 60% recreated a scene from Gothic 1 (at the begining when you talk with Diego) lol! :) I want to thank 3D Motive for their awesome tutorials and Paunescu Daniel from here. What do you think ?
Ah i did an old man sculpt too but scoob's one is way better :P 1 hour from sphere, did a timelapse vid too [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlFZ0NEsXpY[/ame]
Awesome stuff going on, absolutely great things are happening. Here's a brick texture I sculpted from scratch and textured with some various custom brushes and 1-2 image overlays. Looking for some feedback please!
I was experimenting with some lazy and not so workflows =) 1: Scanned leaf. Then inflated and added a bit of sculpting in zbrush. Baked ao + cavity + normals from sculpted geo. Blurred original photo and added ao with cavity on top. 2: Scanned leaf genrated normals from photo original photo used as diffuse
Cross-posting from my character thread; I joined the 1 of 8 paths contest at GA. I'm making a spy, he's wearing a cat-suit he's made himself to trick his enemies.. Still WIP;
All of these new cool shaders and minimal texture usage posts got me inspired to try it out. 1- 256x256 texture, no alpha + a gradient map that could be shrunk and used else where. and I stole the gradient from Ryan
Acid Wire - This awesome, I love the style! I know it's based on Syndicate but do you have any concepts you are working from or? fearian - Nice high poly man! What is that rendered in? I assume Max? Cross Posting! Finished this as texturing practice! http://youtu.be/bVvRKPpn6H0?hd=1
I'm going to start doing little 1-2 day props to get better at texturing. Today I started off with a Japanese postbox. It took 11-12 hours from start to finish, with the texturing phase taking somewhere around 4-5 hours. It's still pretty lame looking, but I'm learning. 1060 tris.
