Hey! Here's an update on the dota courier ive been working on. Lowpoly done-ish and first test bake. Around 3800 tris (bit over budget for now) with a 512 texture.
New character! Adventurer/Knight type dude. Shooting for 2500 Tris + 512 texture for him, with 500 Tris + 256 texture for the sword and shield. Just finishing up the UVs and onto texturing.
getting back to my old love for lowrez texturing :D I'm trying to work on it a little after coming back from work but i don't have much time :/ texture is 512² though
SharDCG: that is awesome. Felt the need to model a gun, texturing could use some tweaking but this is what I have so far: Roughly 5,500 tri's, NM, Spec, and Diff are 2048 with a 512 Emissive (sight and torch, out of view atm)
Looking really nice Motenai, Rhynomite, cmc444, and all you pc peeps! I'm trying to practice keeping textures sexy at lower resolutions: The Lantern is shown at 256 and 512 textures inc. chain, and the bow and arrow is at256x512 res. High: Low:
doing some mobile stuff. i gues it wont shine that much in unity, but i gues it will rock anyway :P whole thing less then 4k tris, two 1024² maps with alpha and two 512² with alpha. blue shit on the sword is also moving.
I haven't done scifi in ages. did this in about 6 hours using 2 512's. I know its not the greatest, just getting some practice under my belt - learning ndo2 a bit better and all that good stuff :P
Made this book today. Textures not 100% yet but nearly there I guess. Just deciding if I should do something crazy with it. Texture is probably 1024 here but will probably scale it down to 512 or less in the end. Supposed to be a small prop to my chair I made earlier. I think the book is around 170tris.
Done. Still things I'd like to change, but I have to move on at this point. Not sure if it'll go in my portfolio or not. Hat is a separate 512 material so I could use a detail map, and the beard is two level of alpha, one for the main beard, one for stray hairs. I hate realtime hair.
