Tried to make some weetabix dubsteb bears :) didn't turn out great... but ohhh well.. just a few minutes polygon work there... :) some morning practice ;)
Starting to build the Golden Gate Bridge... in "High Poly", I'll only be using enough polygons to get the necessary detail so that it works at the right viewing scale. This is the first modular asset, it's 2026 tris.
GoK. One thing - make the hanging papers from actual geo instead of 1 huge alpha plane? Wouldn't cost too much polygons I think, and it could save quite a bit of texture space.
Lovely work Fat_Cap, However i can't help but think it would have been worth the extra polygons to have the necklace as a separate object as opposed to being normal mapped onto the torso. Apart from that spot on!
Fewes, as far as I know there is a modifier in Max that crunches polygons while preserving UVs. I think MultiRes will fuck your mesh up but ProOptimizer should do the trick. Either that or the other way around. :P
A little of both. The one directly under the top-most vertebrae even shares a few polys. This is more noticeable in the back (unseen) I'm not 100% sure, but I generally expect the flatter an area is, the fewer polygons it needs. Conversely, look at your model's silhouette, if you can clearly see polygon angles and you have…
This is a Dodge Viper I am working on for our game. The end result will be cel shaded. Feel free to give me any comments and critiques. This will be the end result, albeit not this low polygon. That was just a placeholder so I could create the shader.
Insulaner: maybe winter tires for the weather lately?? seth.: great model!! His pants thing makes me feel bad, though xD Firebert: maybe add a hint of the rubber grip at points in the silhouette. It's mostly at the back, under the curve that it shows. Ikuru: very cute house :D I guess modular isn't very polygon efficient?…
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkqDDm6wJo4"]Texturing Practice - YouTube[/ame] Just practicing my high poly baking stuff and texturing skills. The colors did not go as planned. But I will practice more and promise better results. It's based off from a tutorial on hard face texturing. 1024x1024 Texture Sheet. OCC and…
