Rapante: WIN!! doing a gta4 custom model. not so much *bling* *bling* right now imo the hands are too small but I have to stick with the gta4 rig beard or not.. not sure yet.
this is looking good, the shirt he's wearing looks quite tight so maybe add a little more muscle form to the torso. Also, the pockets of the trousers wouldn't stick out as far as that. Otherwise I like it :)
Well, I guess this whole normal mapping thing is going to stick around - time I got serious about it. Diffuse and spec are super temp, straight up cg texture metal with ao bake and crazybump spec.
@omnione: Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick, these are awesome! Easily the best low poly stuff I've seen in quite a while. Only flaw is your screencaps are too small, I wish I could see more of your models. :v
Love that painting Dado, Reads from top to bottom really well (why does that goblin have a sword? Ohh wait why does that guy have a stick of dyna- ohhhhhhhhhh) Haven't done a makeup layer for this yet, so it looks kinda rough.
Looking cool dude, but i still think you'd be better off sticking to how the legs work in the original concept. Yours are all backwards looking. There's also a subtle curve in the grill that gives it a lot of style that you're missing, looks real flat right now.
Skeleton High Poly: I will have to get the low poly for it very low so that i might also need to optimize the high for it more. The fingers will have to stick together and for the ribcage im thinking about either using alpha or making it just darken to black between the rips.
thanks :) not sure what you mean, her eyes have a bit of an unnatural slant in some pics in the comic so I tried to stick to that, doesnt translate so well to 3d or maybe its cause the eyes arent spheres they are just sculpted in as this was just a few hours of fun :)
Been doing more small projects, trying to focus on material definition; working on my weakest area. The latest one is this stick grenade, I think I might have boosted the contrast on the wooden handle's specular detail a bit much, it's not looking as uniform as I'd like it to. It's all part of the learning!
Love it but as mentoind the colour usally doesent fade off. And if the board is that worn the trucks and whels should be more worn unless he put newer stuff onto old board. And the wood looks new add som dirt, it usally stick pretty easy if you skated somewhere where its wax. :)
