Used some free time to finish a concrete-wall segment which I´ve made at school. This was texture training primarily, so there is a heavy usage of supporting edges. Polycount: 1574 Tris Textures: Diffuse, Normal, Specular 2048Px Screengrabs using Xoliulshader:
Nice! How are you going to approach the textures? If gonna have any :P One single big one? Also wondering how you went about and did the pillars unevenness? Zbrush, sure. But is it fuck the concrete up and then go back with a morph brush? Keep em coming (:
Damn Rapante, that is an incredible low poly. Care to show some wires and the diffuse? I have to say it took me a while to understand it was a mesh I was looking at. It isTHAT good! :) nordahl154, ahoy matey! I hope your future endeavours with the concrete boulder are filled with bacon and up votes! :) Gonna go to bed now…
Motennai, there are many variations of brick bonds. What your are showing is a running bond, what nordahl154 is showing is a stack bond. The strength of a brick wall to resist lateral and torsional forces comes from steel reinforcement and the mortar. Running bond probably is more stable for bricks, but for CMU blocks, it…
Very nice, trust me when i say this... make 64x64 gloss map for this... the concrete and the material on the top shouldn't have a constant gloss value... the cement should be something like 15, and the plastic/metal (can't tell) should be something much higher like in the 40-50 range. this will add an extra touch of…
That's one of the best low poly models I've ever seen Rapante! I'd like to see more of a falloff though on the slate color like you did on the pale orange color. I know this isn't a personal thread but a quick little update: got my UVs down! I shouldn't have to worry about seams and following the falloff from pristine…
A little cross post from my sketchbook Next up is a project that I am very excite to work on! Shenmue is one of the main reasons I wanted to get into the game industry. I want to just start making different props and buildings from the game and hopefully it will turn into a full blown re-imaging of Yokosuka. My only issue…
