Some of those environments are just amazing. I love the architecture. Makes me want to put the side project I am working on, on hold, and start working on Skyrim mods and etc.
I had to work with Gamebryo in a professional capacity for almost 10 weeks and I can tell you, any bugs or lack of shadows, AO etc. are absolutely down to Gamebryo being a piece of crap.
update on the passive questing; seems there's no way to move forward with the main questline as you have to kill that undead with the dragonstone. Companions, conjures, etc all count as a kill. Still a billion hours of other things to do, so I'm enjoying it.
I'd like to see a windows like file management system, with sort by options, item name, icon, key description elements such as price and main stats, hover over or click to bring up more info, right click options, etc.
Pauldrons were attached to the cuirass in Oblivion. There were way less armor slots. I won't mind if it's like that again but I miss all the slots they had in morrowind for separate pauldrons, separate gloves, clothing slots outside of armor, etc.

Does anyone know if jumping about, swimming lots, running, etc. Increases your stats. In morrowind I used to jump constantly as it increased agility. It didn't work in oblivion though. So I doubt it does in Skyrim. I still jump about mostly though.
Hehehe. happens in real life too! I just hope the story will be better.... Once I became guild master of the warrior's guild, thieve's guild, magicians guild, etc., I had little incentive to restore the Emperor to power - I was the most powerful person in the country mwhahaha!
Todd Howard mentioned in a podcast that this time around, they are using all hand-made character art with tweakable proportions, etc. Which means the different races can look vastly more different from each other than Oblivion allowed, and each individual character will look better since it's not FaceGen :)
Anyone do the three necklace charms quest? The one where a powerful mage used it but his sons took it from him etc etc? I missed it in my first playthrough so it was quite a shock when I came across it on my archer playthrough. That's the sort of thing the game needed more of. When I first came across Blackwater I thought…
