Activate the add-on "add curve Extra objects" In object mode you will find a spline generator menu in the N panel create tab. The spirofit or bounce spline function will help you to create spline around an object with many parameters.
How I can pass point attribute stored for certain selected vertexes in geometry nodes as a vertex group for further modifiers . For data transfer for example ? Did it before in earlier versions but totally forgot how ? For a geometry created by geometry nodes?
fantastic work with textools for blender one bug i noticed, if you create a standard cube and do a quick smart uv project and bake a gradient map, one side gets baked upside down. if i create my own cube from a plane, this does not happen
I believe they meant how to make sure every mesh starts with 60 as a default. And I don't know the answer! It's not exposed in the settings of creating a primitive, and there's no preference setting I can find. You can easily create a button with Pie Menu Editor or through Python that sets it, though.
Hardops is great, and it can be used in conjunction with subd to create really clean shapes. But at the end of the day, it's still polygonal modelling and Booleans, you do need to plan ahead and create the required support structures in your objects to supports the Boolean operation. Even in EQ's boolean example in his…
Thank you Jed, I figured it out. Sorry, another dumb question: How are you guys creating cages to bake in xnormal? Or are you all just baking inside blender? Can't find a push modifier and using extrude along normal creates an interior duplicate of the geometry which makes for a lot of trash to clean up.
