not sure what you mean "are there are other ways to cut edges", is connect vertex path not doing it for you? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1693140/connectvertexedges.gif (actually I think it changed to be connect vertex path in the latest test build and in the current release its just called connect) Also if you ring…
been messing about with the new 2.63 with bmesh, and the modeling tools still need polish. the bevel/chamfer wont work on vertices, and there are some weird things like there being a vertex connect tool but not a edge connect tool. also in previous 2.6 versions wanst there something called loop tools, that had some really…
2.8 and above proportional edit set connected after every stroke sucks! Is there another way to fix this? I'm doing hair strands at the moment and I miss this feature.
Anyone know why my UV unwrapping operations seem to result in the UV faces being separated, even when the faces are connected in the geometry and there aren't associated seams?
@wazou Hah, that is awesome, cool to see it extended like that :) If you like you can add a push request on my github, I really like the connect + merge combo.
you can also use the spin function, a little bit more fiddly, but results are good (also, it does not directly connect two cylinders, only creates the angled part on one end)
@justo the power of Blender's unique modeling abilities(working on verts and edges with no connected faces in space) can also be its Achilles heel(illegal topology) With great power comes great responsibility...... :D
on object creation, go under surfaces and create nurbs surfaces, or nurbs curve and connect them alt + c -> mesh from curve this way you can also apply all modifiers on multiple meshes
