I haven't read the books and only watch the show, but I like the two stories being separate for now as it feels like an intersection is looming over the horizon. There's already enough going on in Westeros that right now that adding in another major player would make things even harder to follow. Yeah, if we go another 2…
Heh, you want spoilers? I've got your spoilers right here! Mild Spoiler: Bigger Spoiler: Extremely Big Spoiler, do not look at this if you've only watched the show!:

Stannis' decision was really hard but it's the right one , he doesn't have a lot of moves or time left and it's alrady been shown what the lord of light has done with a bit of blood.
Didn't Dany just get 6000 soldiers? I think Renly's army (before his death) had 100k to 200k, right? I'm thinking that's why Dany isn't gonna just go ahead and attack quite yet.
When Davos Seaworth was telling Stannis about what's going on in the north, Stannis basically said he didn't care. But when the Red woman looked into the fire, she basically said that Davos is right, your (Stannis's) war is elsewhere...in the North.
am I missing something here? It's been a while since I read the books and I still remember what happens. But I'm actually looking forward to how it will be put in scene in the series. Should be a quite neat wedding episode if they do it right.
