Seeing so many inspiring artists having trouble finding employment really really scares me. One thing I noticed is that it's mostly character artists who are unemployed nowadays. Is it coincidence or is job market as bad for animators/environment/concept/tech artists as well?
truely this makes me wonder if there is any point....i cant find any freelance or full time work (im a rookie) and i got nothing compaired to you... what are we supposed to do? i suppose its probably an idea to think up a plan B :(
A potential business deal or work arrangement is a private thing and not fodder to be used on a forum, I would think that anyone with even a bit of professionalism or professional experience would find this a really easy concept to understand....there really should be no more talk about this and I am sorry I derailled this…
machine.. Many of us understands your frustration. but it is not going to do any good if it is the only thing you think about. try to find part time job while working on your craft...may be you are already doing that,,,, and go out and do some pysical activities like there is no tommorow.....it will make you feel 300%…
This breaks my heart to hear a talented artist (very talented) like yourself having a hard time finding a studio... maybe you need to broaden your search (i don't know if you're just looking locally, or all of Canada / America) etc. Either way man, you're crazy talented... maybe you just need a bit of random luck (which…
From my end it looks like alot of studios art teams are on lockdown and seem much much more selective than they were a year ago. I understadn you want to be a character artist and only a character artist, (maybe i'm wrong…

I ended up getting a reply from Starz a while ago saying they had interest then as I was in contact with the HR lady once she found out I had no professional exp she avoided me as if I had a disease. She told me to call back tho and I did only to ignore my calls,…
I really don't see how it's ok to go and interview without mentioning the visa issue. To me that seems like going in and interviewing tomorrow to be a doctor and just hope they don't ask me for my degree. Sooner or later they'll realize whats going on and I'll look like a really dishonest person, no? I'm not disqualifying…
