Today I tried to make something thats a tad more realistic than my previous work. Critz and comments would be really appreciated as its my first real try at a realistic piece and my first real attempt at using photos for the texturing. Diffuse and normals are 1024x512, the specular is 512x256. The model is presented to you…
Yeah, Physic (and a better animation, more realistic) it's the next step ! :) Ii don't know exactly how, but I guess it's related to the physics_asset in the udk.
Finally something truly realistic from you ! I hope you make a lowpoly and textured version out of this. Your portfolio needs this - enough of this comical nonsense :D
Looking sweet s0id3! Nice detailing. Personally I think you could make the design even cooler if you de-chunkified it and ramped up the smaller details to give it a more realistic/believable appearance.
Ahh yes, the pants on that model would be much more realistic if the fabric actually showed fabric qualities, instead of those of vacuum-sealed plastic :) Her butt-crack would also not be as pronounced. I was defending the "nub", forgot to consider the non-fabricness as well
Neox: once I looked at her groin I couldn't "unsee" the crease there; I know it's subtle, but it strikes me as a bit uncanny mixed with those proportions and the realistic looking skin. Obviously up to you, I think it looks better without though.
MoP, do you ever include any kind of mesh in your render scenes which mimics a person holding a camera? I think it would holistically affect the lighting (let alone reflections) and make it look more realistic, but people don't often do it.
