Cool thanks Ben. Will use the Static mesh instancing in Unreal as you mention. Good practice on doing it the right way. Hehe I am trying to learn the Unreal 3 software, rather than rendering on Maya/3ds max. Thanks again
I had this problem a while back and fixed I by importing into unreal then exporting it, reimporting into Maya then re exporting it to unreal. I was wondering if anyone else had this same problem. I was also wondering if maybe I modeled my tank wrong and shouldn't model it a certain way. The faces are facing the correct way
Many thanks Moose, It's great to know they can be installed and not interfere. I have no plans to open projects from one in the other, I just know UnrealEd is real picky about file structures/locations and I didn't want to add to this by sticking a bunch more Unreal stuff in places if it would cause all kinds of problems.…
MCDCX is the old naming convention from Unreal 2 days. Not sure how Unreal 3 handles them... Most of the time you just want to use UCX, I remember reading a long time ago that UBX and USP were more efficient collision methods, the main catch being they can't be used for detecting collisions with the player.
