that's why I'm not a mod, some say the pimp hand is too severe. Plus I act like a fuckwit most of the time. Beat: We estimate testing will end shortly and ZBrush 3.5 will be available as a free update to all Windows registered users this coming week. Buyer Beware, you were more familiar with the trend of Pixologic missing…
Ok chaps, it turns out that 3.5 is definitely being released this weekend ^^ Log on to your Zbrush Support Account and you should see the following message Sweet :D
Stradigos: I bought ZBrush at version 2 and all the updates so far have been free. They even suggested on the site that the 4.0 release will be a free upgrade for current license owners.
you'll never know until you try and find new workflow, like last time zbrush 2 was launch which was intended for 2.5d painting, let's see how it grows.
Wow. why are people this pissed off about this? It's not like your current zbrush can't do the work you have been doing for years. It's a free update. Calm the hell down. Issues arose and they are fixing them so you aren't tearing up their boards with "OMG BBQ ZBRUSH KILLED MY FUCKING DOG MODEL I WAS DOING AND I CAN'T…
I dunno, I purchased zbrush and mudbox around the same time and Pixologic keeps giving me sweet upgradese while Autodesk tells me to GTFO because I purchased mudbox before they bought 'em.
I didn´t know you´re a ZBrush guy. You always used to do your hipoly models with subdivisional modeling. Or should we look forward to some nice sculptings from you anytime soon?
I've been curious how Zbrush upgrades work. Once you buy it do they let you upgrade it forever (doubt it)? Or is it through the version and then you have to buy, for example, v4 and you just get upgrades through v3?
Junkie, after you put the activation file in the Zbrush folder you'll need to go back through the activation dialog windows to complete the process. At some point you will be met with an option to "Proceed" and verify the activation file. After that you should be good to go.
