anything... geforce 6600 and better, or ati X600/800 and better should run it. I would suggest a 8800 GT or similar, you can get one for around $100, just make sure you have a pci-e slot(may have agp in a system that old?).
EQ: Just curious, do you use .obj from modo, or do you import your modo file into max/maya then use the exporter?? also, has the exporter been tested on 64 bit systems? I'm having some trouble in Maya 2008 when attempting to click on the check box in the plug in manager window.

Well, after testing the latest update, I get an error log longer than my intestines when I start up, after getting a message telling me "This computer does not appear to meet the minimum requirements for Darkest of Days. Game performance and graphics could be seriously affected. See the 'readme' file for more information.…
Funny you should ask, I was just digging through my old blog posts and found this guy: http://reinot.blogspot.com/2005/09/dim-shadows.html It explains how the image based light/shadow system works and outlines how to make a shadow source skybox and convolute it (using HDRShop anyway). I've been meaning to write up…
Philnolan3D: The thing I like most about viewing my models in Marmoset as Neox pointed out is its speed and ease of use. For me, I just drop out an OBJ and some .tga's and I'm set. No exporting. No weird engine requirements (that I've seen). No techy bullshit. It just works and is the shortest distance between my 3d app…
This is pretty subjective, but no i don't think metal items look flat, in fact metal is the easiest, best looking thing you can do in marmoset. I think you'll have issues taking content from one engine, designed specifically for that engine and ploping them into another with a totally different lighting system and…
Hi everyone. Just downloaded the marmoset toolbag. I'm really not sure if I'm having troubles with it or not. Here are my questions: 1. I was checking the TUTORIAL.txt file that came with it. It was recommended that "fullscreen setting" should be off. but I don't know how to open the tooluser.cfg file? 2. Finished…
Thanks for making this available for the community, it's a really nice tool to have in our arsenal. I don't have anything to post at the moment that isn't protected by NDA, but suffice to say it looks great and is working splendidly on my system. Here's my shortlist of feature requests for a future version, if you guys are…
