What did you expect? Filtered faces or a unwrap modifier applied to just the faces? If so why? Because you unwrap objects not faces. I don't plan on adding filtering for just selected faces because in the end the UV unwrap modifier will always touch the whole UV data channel and not just a sub selection. I could look into…
