Calling it done, my first real painting in photoshop.. :) I wanna know how people get those hard edged realistic brushes. :( edit: im not worthy of a cool sig, but me likes. :)
This is pure awesomeness. It's got such a nice stylized painterly look to it, but yet it's fully 3D and detailed, and realistic looking. The glasses could be a little better, but it doesn't even matter. You should send this to Matt Groening.
Amazing! Only the bumps on the forehead look a bit big. Oh and the ears, but I guess you're just aiming for a damn realistic face. JFletcher thanks! FAT_CAP that's one of the coolest characters ever, saved :D
vahl : is that some Dark stalkers? :) cheek bones are alot more sharp on him , but not sure if your changing him to be more modern/realistic or keeping with some of hte original character to him? Adam : So so GHEY!
@Ruz: im so jealous of your texturing skill, simple diffuse and yet it looks pretty realistic. @Talon:My favorite character from the movie, so cute and so deadly :') @Vrav: It's silo 2.1 the wondermarbelous modeler. Started the sculpt
ADAM- killer growth spurt in these last few posts. solid realistic surfaces <3 congrats! PTOING- those colors are on FIRE. although you might be highlighting too many of the edges? I`ll hold that crit till the end though, cause you obviously on a stylization tip.
I have somewhat of a quick question. I'm pretty new to the whole moddeling buisness, but does having your own art style (textures, models) have an effect on how people look at your work? Or is it certain styles that look more realistic and the accuracy. Could someone maybe break that down for me.
I'm so much in love with Laro his style that I painted something in "kind of" the same style. I've always had a cartoony style though, you'll never see me paint something realistic :( So have some fan art <3 Could you see this work in 3D btw?
Yeah, it's one of those. I have some time now to work on this finally, been doing art tests for what seems like forever. I need more realistic and recent work in my portfolio, so why not. Planning on making this one a more complete scene. Just a quick block-out.
Razorb: Even though it's stylized I think you nailed the features quite right. Would perhaps be easier to crit if you made a more realistic face in matter of proportions. I like it alot though. How did you manage to get it so sharp. A sharp brush or simply clean painting?
