Holi, your #7272 post illustration was really nice. Do you use several layers or paint it all on one? Never managed to paint like that. Stuck on line drawing... :(
I freakin love your style RobG, its something about the colors and forms that makes your stuff look so illustrative. The art you got there for sale, is it painted and the printed on canvas or is the work digital then printed?
@neox, thatdon: wicked stuff you two! I'm doing something non 3d atm. a new icon set I named iSO for obvious reasons :) a lot of work but really fun. 100% illustrator :poly142:
nice heads Nick. your stuff looks proper illustrative been messing again with crazy Butchers max version of the BRDF shader need to really redo most of this model, but its fun revamping older work
acrylic piece for a local illustrator's collective... squid-themed, and was supposed to also be christmas themed, but the xmas aesthetic is really ugly so I sort of didn't do that. Tried to push the rendering a little further than usual on this one...
@alexl: Looks good, but there are certainly things to improve on, especially corners where grime would build up. A real quick paintover to illustrate.. The inner corners of the tile and where the toilet, sink and bath meet the floor are the biggest areas.
I have always thought rooster's awesome 3D sketch things were just done in max. Anyway... Sweet gun jason, looks durable despite the small grip. Ani, your illustrations always make excellent desktop wallpapers.
Not as cool as what I did yesterday but, it's practice. I'm just now realizing that drawing is something that benefits from warming up. I usually draw something I like 3 or 4 illustrations in and this is drawing one tonight. Back to work. Edit: Sleepy time.
Hell yeah i sure did use it as a reference, along with some illustrations. Just like a painter would recreate a painting i figured i would learn better by following along, and i sure did. I can't believe i forgot to credit Zack! =/
