acrylic piece for a local illustrator's collective... squid-themed, and was supposed to also be christmas themed, but the xmas aesthetic is really ugly so I sort of didn't do that. Tried to push the rendering a little further than usual on this one...
thats really cool. Looks like a steampunk combine soldier from half life 2. Now make gordon! :D could really push the steampunk theme with the beating stick, but u probably werent going for that haha
Cheers Davidson! It's pretty much all Kismet. The Kismet sheet is filled! I wanted to keep as much of it stock as possible just to show off how far we can push the standard engine. It doesn't even use a mutator :)
Decided to finally start on my own kindof nemesis model, been pushing her back since ages ... I want to give her a SF4 kind of bulk, ala chunli/cammy legs. Hopefully the PC version will be hackable somehow ....
IMO the folds/creases are too soft, making it look wet. You could make those 'sharper'. Also push the highlights some more. I think it looks better without AO tbh, looks better defined and more cartoony. :poly141:
coming together.. slowly :P. At this point i don't really know what to do to push it further (except obviously the sword). http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/5598/wiplb1.jpg so critiques are most welcome at this stage!!! EDIT: oh crap, the AO is turned off in this image :( with ao:
Scudz, the details on ol' Cosmo there are looking nice, but damn if the proportions aren't screwing with my head. His chest looks like it has something trying to push its way out and the ribcage just seems bloated outward in general. It almost looks like he's wearing a muscle suit.
Diggin the TF2 chick Josh. I really like how you tried to exaggerate the proportions (like the boots, hips) but i would love to see you push it more. Like skinny arms, more to the hips, ect. And the face looks kind of normal at the moment. Kick ass though!!!
sweet shit swizzle! that's an awesome setup you got there! I really love the books. I know its all rought atm but as creative as the table is I think you could push the floor more. Go with some floorboards or even adding more divisions to the cylinder would help add alot.
That's not just "some type of pilot"! That's Lobster Johnson, you ignorant fool! :poly128: You're right about them not pushing into his face. I meant to do something with that, but I kinda forgot. I only spent about an hour messing with it, though, so it still has a long way to go before I'm done.
