@Justin_Meisse: Oh yeah, Paint Tool Sai is awesome, though I'd categorize it more as a concept, illustration, or painting app rather than as a Photoshop substitute. Direct Folders: http://www.codesector.com/directfolders.php Awesome small windows app that allows you to quickly travel between your folders and 'favorite' them for quick access, amongst other stuff. helped me out a bunch.
All of my mail goes through gmail, but I then download to TBird. I have some gross desire to keep every email/IM and have since 2000. I will probably end up back to MS's email app.
phitodo - Task list, and time spent tracking, with project views, etc - quite a nice air app, has an online version as well as a desktop air version. makesometime - Another task list and time tracking website - with invoicing as well.
