well the problem with women and girls is, that unless you make them totally smooth, they will look too manly if you're not adding a proper feminine haircut, eyeleshes etc.
apart from the boots its a completely different model. I have a contract for a bunch of pilots, tanks drivers, soldiers etc so I dont have any say on the designs
For a fence I'd likely do a plane with a nice texture on it then mix in some 3D elements (signage, poles, etc) so it's not so flat. Fence is a bit different than chains, IMO.
doing a female basemesh quite muscular right now but that way it'll be easier to turn her into the average woman, etc depending on my needs a day or so of work on and off so far
hey katze, if you want to go from a 8 to a 10, you might want to make the teeth more refined, into incisors, canines, premolars, etc, intead of grey chicklets =) me <3 this thread
nice work indecom! if i where you i'd set up some shortcuts for select edge loop, select edge ring, connect, bridge etc. read this to see what everybody else uses.
SEKNeox : That last one looks great. If you could get it to "boil" a little, I can see a really nice coloured-pencil animation effect coming out of that. You know the kind of thing, "the Snowman" etc.
@vitor's head mesh : I like the receding chin etc. but the basic proportions of the skull are off, as is the ear position. Japhir pretty much nailed it with his paintover IMO. The stereotypical heroic jawline isn't a necessity though.
MUCH better- its good to see you thinking about what your volumes are now- push that envelope till it says "EXCUSE YOU!?" see what happens when you use as much reference as humanly possible when you sculpt, paint textures, etc etc- look up some skeletons, and check your rib cage as well as the weight on those legs.…
Just jumping on the mb09 bandwagon and i sincerely concur its friggin awesome! Been a while since i sculpted in mudbox, this was fun having another go. Just a few hours playin around with all the new features etc.
