Yep remote shutter is essential! My 350d came with one, but if you've got... i think any EOS camera you can buy the same one for $30-40 http://cgi.ebay.com/A0512-New-CANON-RC-1-RC1-remote-control-EOS-450D-500D-/390184014506?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Cameras_Photographic_Accessories&hash=item5ad8c792aa Really nice little thing to…
Wow Paul :) that reflection is .. my English is not good enough to describe this :) And the very rich red glow :) Amazing :) I have not been taking a lot of photographs lately and I have been thinking more and more to replace my digital camera for film ... :) soon
Thanks for the info; I only develop 135 and 120 at home but I'm planning on doing 4x5 as well. Another question; how did you digitize your negative? Did you print and scan a contact sheet or do you have a 4x5 film negative scanner or another method?
Like chrizz1 said, the camera takes medium format 120 film, though my model can be modified to take 35mm film as well; though it is something which I have no interest in doing. Here are some initial shots with the Rolleiflex, fresh out of the photolab. Shooting with film is such a different experience than digital, and far…
the thing with digital is I have the best ability to break stuff and so I have been banned from holding anything remotely expesnive. Saying that I was going to buy an e-520 but even 300 is too much so still with colour and black and white film (manual developing- saves a bomb). Im stock piling fuji instax film atm though…
The work in this thread is really impressive - and I love seeing folks practice art forms outside of their immediate interests. I don't have any fancy equipment, just two GE point-and-shoot digital cameras, but sometimes they manage to surprise me :) I ended up with a poor ISO setting on this shot, and didn't think to try…
Paul: Nice! Where do you get your film developed? I've shot a few rolls for fun and had them digitally developed at the local drug store here but the quality is pretty poor. I think my options here are pretty limited, which is a shame. Tilt fun! More info and a small writeup on how i made my tilt lens here:…
[quote=poopinmymouth;1027113 all the Canon film EOS bodies are polished plastic dog turds aesthetically.[/quote] lucky I shoot with a metal Olympus then:poly124:. I would buy a e-520, but a its about 280 squids which I dont have and B I LOVE to experiment with film which you really dont get that satisfaction with digital,…
Thanks guys :) @GoSsS: the vast majority of my post process work is done in Canon's DPP (Digital Photo Proffessional), I used to do some more PP tweaks in Photoshop, but now I almost exclusively stay in DPP, it's such a great program. @ JordanW: Great shot; what setup did you use to capture that? Here is another long…
