Rens: I really like that one, but the horizon doesn't seem straight. Also the city in the background kind of detracts from the minimal composition of the boat and pier, could you have taken this one in landscape without the city in the background, with just water at the edges ?
that last photo Disanski is awesome! Great composition and the colors are just to awesome! Only thing I would have done different would be adding a bit more lighting to the head so she doesnt have that hard black shadow running through the head
Very last picture of prague, inside the Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague Castle. The picture is actually 3 individual pictures i stitched together to make this one huge panoramic. Sadly i didnt get a perfect straight on composition but its not to bad of a result.
thanks Jordan :) I'm having a lot of fun with Canon's DPP experimenting with different recipes and effects took this shot few hours ago, i love that several highways run straight through Seattle's downtown, allowing for many opportunities to create interesting compositions with the light streaks of the cars
cool shot slum! :) JO its never enough!! onlything i would do, is crop those cokhee collaz crates away. they kinda dont fit into the composition. maybe even go wild and try some more things, like cropping off the phone aswell, see what it does.
Paul .... :) SO one more from me I am very open for critiques if anybody has any :) Was not sure about the composition and on purpose I am not using the rule of Thirds and i added some extra grain :) just experimenting - I Like it a lot but not sure if I am on the right path :)
I'm going to go ahead and second Rick here, that shot kicks ass Paul. That said, the tangent being formed with the left tip of his hat and the distant bystanders is kind of odd. I can't figure out if I like it for its surreal quality or of it distracts from the message of scale that's being conveyed by the POV and…
Thanks jordan! :D i like the freedom in your pics, those are compositions i wont dare choosing, but it adds alot more feeling to it! Slum! im a heavy shutter hitter, there is no skill, just luck! ;) make a lot of photos! the more the better, the prairydog is awesome, really tough to capture with the colors keep at it and…
@wannabe: that image is so great! without having any real idea about it, i'd say the composition is very good. it looks a little washed out, though. have you tried adjusting it a little (more)? that dune in the center would have made a great image on its own, btw. i really like that curve... :)
awesome composition on that one poops! that's a new fav of mine... plus those benches are way rad... what kind of housing are they using over those fluorescents?!? i mean, to be able to sit on that, it's gotta be pretty stable over the bulb, and pretty expensive i would imagine. were those made by an artist? anyway...…
