Im getting some weird errors when trying to bake my AO map in Xnormal, I've circled them in red. I've tried decreasing and increasing the ray distance with no effect. this error doesn't happen in max. Any ideas?
Just followed the external cage file tutorial for 3ds max 9; Numerous errors crooped up using the .ase extension as instructed. Same memory errors, for no apparent reason. Whats most frustrating about this is that its erroring when its trying to dilate, after the map is actually rendered. Surely no reason to being using gigs and gigs of memory if you're only doing a post thing to expand the pixels on the image, right?
I'm having the same issue. Whatever I name the output file I get the error message "sorry. Can't find the XXXXX plug-in." I tried the reinstall suggestion but the problem reoccurs. //looks like you have to be explicit about the path and extension... what threw me was the error msg
