@JohnnySix To me it looks like he was going for a more realistic texture as apposed to a cartoon/stylized look as your paint over shows. I could be wrong... cactus fantastico care to reply here??
I made a sponge. Sort of a realistic-ish texture combined with cartoonish-ish big holes. Anyone know how to fix that seam? It appears in Marmoset Toolbag2, but doesn't really do so in Unity.
His hair is rather yellow, which doesn't match the more realistic colors of the rest. Also, the brown and red blend together a bit much - I'd try to give them more differing average values.
Doing a bit of art tests for a future project. Doing a bit realistic-y animals in a sort of high end PS1-style (Chrono Cross-type stuff. Kinda late 90s, early 2000s stuff)
I'd definitely agree, its important to keep stuff in the realm of being believable even if its not necessarily realistic, can't just have spikes coming out of the handle XD Weapon looks fantastic though, regardless!
Hey guys/gals...anyone looking for a challenge? Would love to see a high-quality, low-poly mechanic 700 polys or less, photo realistic texturing....and if it's really that good I would even pay you for it!
yes these are bit semi realistic cause it might not be possible to construct these big mechs and make them move so fast. So I've tried to match the animation style of the other mechs from mechcommander2 to blend into the game better
thanks for the feedback. as much as I would have like to have a go at a hand drawn texture, unfortunately as of yet I don't have Graphics tablet (managed to lose my old one :'C) and I'm pretty sure its not even worth trying with a mouse so I just did a photo realistic texture. as soon as I get one though I will be on does…
the models seems good, rather good i would say, but the textures could be a bit bigger? i know you wanted them tiny but they would look even better with a bigger and realistic texture? other than that they seem good to me!
Holy shit man you should have made those images links or something... had to explain that to my girlfriend for a minute haha! Nice model though, really dig the realistic female shapes(well, except the fake boobs, the shadow is a little too harsh there)!
