Hmm the front of the feet look odd, going backwards like this. There has to be some area to stand on, and that is usually bigger than the legs. Just move the front bottom vertex forward until the edge slopes forward and not backwards.
I'd say throw some darker darks and lighter lights in his shellwork. It'd make the individual scales pop a bit more. As they are now, they look a bit shallow and thin. Like they wouldn't really protect him, much.
looks really cool, but he looks more like a teenage koopa, not really the king yet. i think hes a bit too trimmed down. definatly cool, i have just always thought of koopa as a big chunck of mass.
Tip: Set a camera to the correct distance that will best represent the size of your character on screen. It'll help a lot in figuring out where you need to add/take away your polygons. Your sprite art seems like a good size.
