i wanted to say somethinginspirational and contributing to this thread, but my brain just froze when i was about to say it...believe me...it was good....*ramble**ramble*
My only nit pick omar on your work is I see all these chains and straps with no apparent use? takes away from the pieces believability more so than adding detail should.
Cant quite believe how long this has taken about five hours not bad in the grand scheme of things, but it isnt even finished and Ive done much more complex models for this book in less time.
it's an anatomy study so i think i overcompensated with some of the muscles, it's a wip so i am yet to tone down some areas to look believeable, i am polishing my sculpting technique too on this one.
It looks like when you went to your low poly mesh you went a little TOO low poly Thats theo only problem I can see with the WIP model, is that its just to square to be believable
xeno! i love that stuff, i spend so much time doing that when i was a little kid. i believe i still have those thingies lieing around somewhere, maybe ill pick it up again
FAT_CAP! living on awesome street. i can't believe i don't have a folder for you until now. nice ogre, man. i would love to see a game in this style. can i get a better shot of those hands?
Scott: Thanks very much mate, yes it's just for practice 1) To practice modelling techniques. 2) To improve the believability of my sci-fi 'high poly for normal map' models by forcing myelf to look closely at real life detail.
