even if this succeeds in the USA, which sounds like an uphill battle to me - other countries are not obligated to do anything. If it does go through, I wonder if Artstation will adopt Youtube's DMCA filing system where it's used as a weapon against other content creators... lol
I'm not sure if we'll see more innovation in the AAA space given how risk averse they've been off late. I am intriguied by the recent controversies we have going around, lot of entertaining content which actually motivates writing. Also with so many out of work its much easier to network, reachout and improve enagement on…
Does anybody use anything AI in actual game content production currently? I just wonder because I am trying for quite a while. Ai textures >> total crap. Except very limited number of subjects in Sampler maybe and I still prefer Substance Designer nevertheless . Ai models are a polygon mess . AI lods , no much of a…
@Tiles But we've already shown examples of pixel-per-pixel (more or less) copies of prominent images, in one of the other AI threads. Yes, you can make content that looks similar. The more famous an image is, the closer AI will come to it. But it is not pixel by pixel. And you can do similar images with Photoshop or Krita…
as a little side comment, companies/studios are ALREADY using AI art. most of what I have seen in terms of AI content so far at least has been using generated art as a base and getting someone else to "touch-up/clean-up/alter sections/ etc etc..". Also all the companies/HR/Marketing will say at the moment they won't use it…
Actually in architecture, the people doing it call themselves designers or visualizers, maybe that term is more appropriate with AI art prompters? Or you could say they are the lowest form of menial labor in art generation, kind of like trash pickers that work in the dumps foraging through garbage looking for recycling.…
@NikhilR did your read those articles or just the headlines? first article looks and reads like clickbait, so i went to the link it cited as being the source for a concept artist claiming that director was a weirdo about the characters. ctrl+f search doesnt bring up the directors name or the term director in the article. I…
It is interesting, more dreamlike than anything, basically shit unless the objective is to make abstracts Great thread analysing one of the videos https://twitter.com/ChombaBupe/status/1758226090579894542 here's the video https://cdn.openai.com/sora/videos/tokyo-in-the-snow.mp4 Its adding so much to the lawsuit, its…
This does not work. Since you can train the AI with these images anyways. And the dataset is free available content of the internet. Nobody would ever think of limiting Photoshop to draw just vertical lines. Why do you want to do this with AI? It always boils down that you want to regulate the tool and all its users…
Really, I've been thinking about the subject for a few days now, and I'm not sure whether to see this technology as an ally or as the nemesis of the artistic industry. What I do know is that currently, as it's presented, I only perceive it as a money-making machine for the companies behind it. I see it more as an…
