Do an image search of classical sculpture, in a new window do an image search of car tuner magazines. What does the majority of Artstation and CG art in general resemble?
Man, the new algorithm has made ArtStation actually usable now, good stuff! The FanArt porn is still there for you to get your jollies off too boys, don't worry.
If you really want to get people to look at your artwork on ArtStation, throw the mature tag on it, I've clicked on so many dumpsters and barrels that were labeled mature, get's me every time.
I am scared of the day Artstation will be implementing the google algorithm and only show you artworks based on your web history. Or maybe we will still be seeing only boobs and wooden floors after that.
It appears that there is coordination between Artstation and Art Managers at large AAA studios. Personally, I think it's great that an Art Manager at a larger studio would take time out of their own day to work with ArtStation to ensure the Artists get a great opportunity to show the work they worked real hard on. @shabba…
At its core, I think Artstation is really just a networking tool. Find an artist you like and then see who THEY like. It's basically a rabbit hole of amazing art. The front and trending pages are just to get you started.

As soon as you find a row with none, game over. Can't remember how far down we ended up now. But hey, Artstation is very tame compared to deviantart. You should check…
censorship? hyperbole much? artstation is a privately run website. if they decide that the only likes which will matter is from a guy named jeff, they can do that. its not a election, giving likes its not your god given right, claiming it is only shows of an astonishing entitlement. i think this is interesting. not because…
@TeriyakiStyle I don't believe your apocryphal tale that you've seen this done in the industry, partly because you seem like a conspiracy theorist with an axe to grind against Artstation, but also because no game studio is going to do that because there is almost 0 upside in the tiny slice of the 3D Art industry and on the…
The change sounds awesome imo. Feels like Artstation has always been by artists for artists, so I think that's a good solution to what has been happening with all the "fans" that don't upload art but just follow and like stuff. Recently it feels like Artstation has been turning into Pinterest. I don't think it has anything…
