"An abhorrent, ghostly visage emerged motionless from the orb. It was a cruel and twisted mimicry of humanity and stared at us with cold, predatory eyes, like those of a shark" Video link of animation can be seen here
"Dimension Leak" figured out how to repeat suction cups and warp them accurately. Have this set up as an IMM brush if anyone would like to download it then shoot me a message and I'll send it through
Some environment thumbnails. Pretty uncomfortable with Environment work, but I forced myself to bash some shapes out. Some of these I quite like, and the colours are working fairly well in some of them too methinks...
"Some of them come through smiling, I suppose you would to if you had spent your whole life in a non-euclidean hell, surrounded by unfathomable things of incomprehensible horror. It's like getting into Disneyland for them"
Taking part in #sculptober this year... although not following the official prompts. The chickipede above was the first few days, now working on doing some more stuff with basic shapes and trying to get character across like that. Here's a magician:
Working into this design earlier. Big Cat Hybrid. Want to get the features nailed down (I guess the focal point is going to be the face), and then will try out lots of different fur textures (patterns from different big cats) and iterate to see what I like.
Taking an illustration from Inktober (there are a few I'd like to develop) and pushing it to a character/creature design - THE GYM RAT, also known as "Pinky and the BRAWN" - "what shall we do tonight brawn?" "The same thing we do every night pinky... BENCH PRESS AND HAMMER CURLS"...
Alright I'm back, I ran out of time last time but I wanted to comment on the Giant Snapping Swamp Turtle: Those sketches have so much personality and life, do you have more work like that? I really love the design and the thought behind it!
Obligatory: I really don't think this reads very well - it isn't obvious enough what's going on, but I like the concept and may revisit it. Inktober day 6: "SWORD" - messed up a slightly better rendered version of this and needed to post before the deadline (that's life), inspired by the great Mike Mignola
WIP sketch this eve, I have a hard time rendering fur without photo textures, but I think it turned out ok. Not as dirty or battle damaged as I'd like yet, but will get there. Overlay of stripes is looking a little off, need to contour it more with the body. Stance also a little stiff.
