IMO no, there has never been a case that has had multiple skins for the same weapon anyway. I'm 100% sure they are only going to pick 2 winning skins in total.
We know because the top 2 skins will be put into a case "released at a later date". That case doesn't necessarily have to be the next one to be released, but that is the assumption most of us have.
Nah renders to promote your skin are fine man, just be sure to add 2-4 workbench pictures aswell. In the cs:go workshop people use renders to promote their skins 24/7!
This is mostly false in the cs:go workshop though, Valve tends to chose specific skins for specific cases, there have been times where valve saved older (1-2 years old +) skins for future updates.
Just to clarify some things, am I right to assume we are allowed to use 3D renders and in-game screenshots in the Steam workshop submission, it's just in the final submission thread we have to have an image containing 2 workbench angles?
where is the finals submission thread? also do i have the list down right 1. WIP POST THREAD 2. SUBMIT TO WORKSHOP 3. POST TO FINALS SUBMISSION THREAD am i missing something, can i include all my works in one WIP thread if multiple entries
wow this really left me staring with my mouth wide open! id never believe valve would let us to do something like that, it is amazing chance for you and me to get noticed! really happy to see these 2 adds confirmed and even the swag bag sounds pretty cool :D
My only advice to you guys is to treat workshop as a place to make art, get beter and maaaaybe get paid at some point. Artists always did stuff in their free time. At least I did. If your intention is to practice, do stuff the best as you can, make the next one better as previous one, you win no matter what. In Dota…
If I recall correctly, every major polycount competition ( KF2, Dota 2, even TF ) has had that as a longstanding rule, your thread has to be a live WIP. There's no way around it. If you posted a finished product and then had WIP, but didn't actually show the process of you making it in the thread, then you are not…
It says; The winners will be announced the week after the contest concludes. The Top 2 finishes will be included in a CS:GO weapon case that will come out at a later date. As with other weapon finishes included in a weapon's case, the winners will receive a share of the proceeds generated. So what I think they are saying…
