For everyone attempting to do the simplified form face, hopefully this Zbrush Central thread will help. Basically an art dump from the Disney Animation team for "Wreck-It Ralph" http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?178524-Wreck-it-ralph!!!
I was adding a lot of details and realized I don't really need that much anyway since I'll handpaint the folds and whatnot anyway , would make good practice. I'm still iffy about the face though.
@JoeTyas - Well, looking at the 3/4 view, I'd say try pulling her chin back some. It looks like the chin is jutting out farther then her nose. Maybe find a reference to get an idea of the general shape of a face.
Looks clean there man :) Let's keep going. @Colossal_Dragon Love her face !! Be careful with her neck. The size should pretty much stay the same throughout the length. Yours somehow gets thinner closer to the base. Hair soon... OMG T_T
Okey doke, here's my procedural body texturing thing mixed with a face photo: Haven't figured out how to preview diffuse, normal *and* specular all at the same time in the 3ds max viewport hence the rubbery skin (looks better in UE4 though).
Hey everyone, Here's my body base sculpt done today in 3D-Coat (took me about 5 hours): I am happy with the way it's come out but still very aware of how basic my technique is. Next up, the face...
I did try a wider face, but I didn't really like it much. I will play around with it some more still, though. Beat me why the clothing edge is so sharp <_<" I didn't use crease either. Will smooth it out a bit.
Looking good Pyrzern, can't wait till I get up to clothing (nearly there). Here's my procedural skin texturing thing I do in 3ds Max back in the paint room in 3D-Coat: This is her generic all over skin texture, I'm doing a photo based face texture now...
Today's update finishing blocking out: Made some changes to the length of her neck as well as increase her head size a lil bit. Also adjusted her knees accordingly. closeup of her face: I really hope I finish her by the end of this month, having a completed model will be a great start for this year.
Assani, I think your face proportions are off Her eyes, for instance, seems too small. Overall head shape is longer than it is in the concept. I'm not getting the same feel. The clothing wrinkles, especially on the arm, could use more care as to their origin of anchor and how they wrap aroun the arm as gravity pulls them…
