Hi Fwap, ArtDock itself should work only on the Surface Pro 1 and 2, not on the Surface Pro 3. If you want something similar on the SP3 (i.e. something that allows you to use pen and touch input at the same time), the only option at this point (and it's a great one if you can get over the language and programming barrier)…
have any of you been able to disable the annoying tablet pc bubbles that popup when holding your pen on or near the surface and pressing ctrl, alt, or shift on your tablets? I've looked all over and it seems that windows 8.1 is different than win 7 when it comes to disabling it.
Ive got a surface pro 2, i would say it would fit in nicely for someone that has a powerful main PC or laptop to do real work on, its not a consumer device like an Ipad , but its not really a proper laptop. I mainly use mine for sketching and watching netflix in bed. I also took it on holiday a few months ago , and it…
I watched some video reviews and the general consensus is that the Surface Books are awesome laptops but have some limitations for production art. Not super strong, 3D wise, so you can work but not really efficiently. Also, the pen lacks a second button AND you can't configure that button. So ... maybe next iteration.
just ordered a surface pro 3, after my samsung slate fell down and the display shattered a few weeks back. i like sculpting on a tablet its a lot of fun, i hope the N-Trig stuff is good on it. And that zbrush runs well in Windows 8. If those work i'll be more than happy with that toy.
The art dock app is kind of a pain to get used to. It doesn't work if your drawing hand is touching the tablet so you have to keep your palm off the surface. Something I found useful for zbrush use is I made a custom tool palette with all the common functions I use in it and another for brushes.
Now that surface pro has switched to N-trig over Wacom has anyone noticed significant change good or bad comparatively? N-Trig and wintab drivers cover all the apps now? If N-trig anyway... why not go for more screen real estate like 15" sony flip with the i7 option?
well to me, the surface pro is about as big as a table can be to comfortably hold it in one hand and pant with the other. at one point mobility will just suffer. so far, the pressure could feel a bit less harsh. some adjustments abilities for the sensitivity would be really helpful. the surface pen is bad, well the…
I'm trying to decide between a high end surface pro 2 and a low end pro 3. I'm leaning heavily towards the 2 because of the better specs, gpu, and no throttling. But can anyone who has the pro 2 comment on the size? That's the only limiting factor I see, can you really work on a 10.6" screen?
Hey Neox, I don't own a device I can test this out on but have you tried this? I think it should let you map some of the shortcuts onto buttons. Would love to hear your opinion on the surface pro when you figure it out. http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/artists/61676-suit-shortcut-ui-toolbar.html
