That and that's the strangest thing about the kickstarter, strikes me as entirely bizarre. But I really don't think they have a chance, Artstation has won my loyalty and with equal exposure to cg/game artists as it does to digital painters seems to of interested more people I know then what CG hub was even doing, so making…
This is easy to use and fast I like Artstation even if there are a few bugs http://robeomega.artstation.com/ Only turned 16 years old so my work may not be the best :P
I posted the suggestion to have smaller tiles on ArtStation and the developers have been really responsive and now changed it. They also posted what the new changes actually now mean in their forums:
Always worth storing your art in more than once place. Artstation, personal website, cgsociety and facebook updates. More exposure never hurts :). http://www.artstation.com/artist/Baj_Singh
So after checking it out, I decided to join ArtStation as well. Thanks for suggesting the site. I've just started posting work but here's my link http://www.artstation.com/artist/jzak
Got invite from WarrenM, thanks bro! Now im one of the cool kids too! My artstation: http://walreu.artstation.com/ Just curious, why they dont have categories for traditional art and photography on the Artwork page?
Having your own space is a good idea but there's also a ton of value in being part of a discoverable community like cghub or artstation ... the odds of someone wandering into your solo site are less than stumbling over your art on a community site.
Yeah, seems like everyone got one ArtStation invitation lately and I just got mine as well from Peschiera~thanks man! I still got 19 left, so if anyone interested please PM me we well :)
I'd still be interested the CGHub developer's take on a new site. ArtStation does seem to be doing the business. I hope it translates well to Asia, which is what CGHub did so well, in exposing us to artists we would otherwise never have known about.
