i guess some more material definition couldn't hurt. some harsher highlights on the metal, eyes and partially on the skin. right now it all has the same dullish material, it looks nice but i think some material contrast might not hurt. great work regardless
spasmart: Cool! Like the mood and action. osed: Swedish mech division? Legs look badass and the mech rendering feels tight. Consider tightening up some edges in the background, right now some of it gets a bit hard to read. More composition thumbnails, starting to get a hang of the process now.
I had called this done a couple weeks ago but my instructor convinced me that I'm capable of pushing it and making things really clean and readable. It's a bit overwhelming but I think I'm getting through it. The back right corner, the farthest shelves and the floor are the areas where I think I'm looking next to refine.
Lovely progression there, Sharvo! Your lighting and rendering is pretty good! I would focus more on the composition though. Right now my eye is led off the frame because of the path, the subject, which is the river I assume, is dead center, the mountain is clipped which is kind of annoying. Use the rule of thirds and…
@ ErikNilsson - Thanks mate :) @ Crazy-Pixel - Thank you very much! I enjoy doing these :) @ArtViktor - Hey, I like the design and the color-scheme you chose! I think you're suffering from making your forms too round and bubbly, like his deltoids and upper arms for example. If you want to create more appealing stylized…
kaktuzlime: Cheers man! And great tutorial! Makkon: Everything...love it all Dado: Right back at your mate! Killing it! aesir: It really depends on the approach you take, it's a really different way of thinking. I went from it to lines. Think of it like sculpting where you carve the forms with various tools. You can shift…
An environment concept inspired by Skyrim (which can be a surprisingly tactical game when you reach higher levels) and Titan Quest Games *silent update More composition studies. At the left of the image are some remote man made structures, a watchtower and a dockyard which indicates that a civilization/city might be nearby…
@AlexKola- going in the right direction. I feel your painting would benefit from more bounce-light and bounced colors. RIght now all your colors are local, which looks dull. Also your value-contrast is equal all over, the painting would benefit from more conscious focal-points. I also think some more SSS on the skin would…
allan-p: brillant work, you have definately have got the eye for color : ) Muzz: really like the rendering on that mech, super well done! as for color and design, I am open to suggestions, I'm working on the riot contest, I am going for a 80s style katarina from leagues of legends. I will probably have to throw a walkman…
canvas textures looks nice, but colors came out quite different, too saturated in some places. Zorn was master of limited palette and this one looks like painted with 4 pigments: cadmium red, yellow ochre, ivory black and white. I personally would use only those swatches for painting and avoid adding any more colors from…
