Just messing around with a physically based shader and per-pixel bloom/dirty lens effect I created in Unity recently. I've also changed the deferred renderer so that point lights have physically accurate attenuation.
our game from berlin mini game jam yesterday, you roll down a rainbow and collect candy - made in only 8 hours in unity pixel art is pretty fun , but cant beat 3d of course : P
This is a retro game done by a great pixel artist Andrew. I wanted to post here to help him get his work out there. You can get the game here, its for the PC. http://www.desura.com/games/ultionus-tale-of-petty-revenge
@JohnnyRaptor- Looking Cool! His pixelated mouth intrigues and scares me at the same time lol Finished with Blair, more images in my thread [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TDC13ebWFs"]Rub-a-dub-dub, Blair in a tub: Timelapse - YouTube[/ame]
Royal Forest A dark mist creeps among the timbers.... (2100x1200) pixels Photoshop Painting By Alex Grenlie Feb 14' Notes: This was a speed paint. I took chances on using various degrees of opacity, color variation, and brush sizes. I'm fairly pleased with the results. Approx 40 min
I'm making a low poly model of Dragonslayer Ornstein from Dark Souls. A change of pace from the high poly stuff I usually make. This is a test render in VRay. I intend to scanline render the final one, however. Now I'm working on making the textures, but it's not going so well. The smooth one was a quick test with a mouse…
@jon, to you and karl, this is looking so amazing in it's art style and mood, your artistic development from start to here has been so fun to watch. My favorite part, is the lighting. It interacts with the white-est pixels of the zombies in such a cool way as they walk past, it's just all top notch and i want to play :)
one last post from me too doing some sort of weapon icon popup for my sniper roguelike , to give an initial impression that hopefully lasts (main gameplay is very small top down, so you only had a couple pixels for a gun) Its all photoshop however >.> , ref OM 50 + 551 Happy new year guys !
