Hey, I don't know if it just my computer being silly, but ever since I updated to 4.2, the shift + click and drag outputs from one node to another isn't working. It is still working for my friend who is on 4.1 if I'm not mistaken. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Sorry, a little late to the game here, but I think these will work. You can tie the two to the inputs of an "Else, If" and create a Boolean switch to toggle from using all evens or all odds I imagine. Might lend itself to some creative results in the future by changing the "B" of the modulo?
empeck - Maybe this weekend I can do a write up on it. I just started off with the most basic of shapes to create the tapered rectangle then once that was made used that same shape to create the star shapes. All the while ensuring it tiled ok. Is anyone else interested in a write up?
Since the last update (non steam version) I'm not seeing labels for input images on nodes unless I fill in the description field - at which point it takes an age to bring up the tooltip. it's affecting everything - not just my own creations is this affecting anyone else or does substance just hate me?
Is there some specific rules to get the 3D view to work I cant get obj's to display that are created in Wings3d? It zooms in really far till the whole screen is grey, with no obj displayed and no way of knowing if anything is happening. I've triangulated the obj's, I've changed the sizes. I cant think of anything else.
Cool! I found something else yesterday that could help with some ideas: http://paulbourke.net/geometry/ I think the tanh and coth spirals could be useful for making something like this in SD: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/B2XBl Irregular polygons would be pretty neat aswell. Could save a few steps for making things…
Just finished my old wood sidings: Get it here: http://substance.arvinmoses.com/product/old-wood-sidings-0-5/ Also doing a live stream today at 2PM CST. Will be covering how to create chainmail, simple rock, a quick overview of the hand painted style, and whatever else we've got time for. You can watch it @…
@"Bruno Afonseca" Thanks man! I'll try to mask of those cracks in places somehow, shouldn't be too tricky. I might try what @somedoggy demonstrated with the rock cells, could be pretty handy for masking out slabs from cracks. @MeshModeler Javier! That's looking rad, dude! Some of your peaks are getting chopped off which is…
today I was playing with SD and I discovered that tile generating in substance designer is a lot more interesting than I thought. all created by just playing with parameters of polygon and bevel node. actually I was looking for something else and didn't expect that. but It's fun to play with :D gradient driven bevel node…
It's an interpolation between minimum coordinate and max coordinate. So R = min X to max X, G =min Y to max Y, etc... Allows blending top to bottom, left to right, front to back. Why bake in another app though? Substance bakes maps no other application can, and it does it super fast. Especially special maps like this one i…
