Is there any way to combine the parameters you've exposed from for example, effects masking to be combined into one overall parameter? Like if I wanted to activate all my parameters of aging into 1 slider from clean to dirty.
What would be the best way(fastest) to add a bitmap (a colored logo on a black background) to a full material? For example, I want to add this to one of the PBR material nodes from the library? What is the process of adding decals to materials?
No it was more of a general question and this was the example, it's not that I want to make a directional dirt effect. I'm general interessted how people deal with seams, since you do a lot of procedural texture general that can overlap over the seam borders.
@ luthyn I don't think the blend nodes will work like PS exactly. I tried with color dodge and went back to a regular add... That being said.. On your example.. Why not just multiply the gray scale texture over the base color?
I tried looking at these docs, "Substance Designer 4.2 : Expose a Parameter" didn't really help much, I wish there was an example to learn from. I see how to add integers for custom functions, and how to expose, but after that I'm completely lost.
Hi Nick, Yes off course, though with the viewer it connects with all the substances. If i can use the player how do you connect all the materials at once like you see in the example of the viewer? Kessler, Cannot download your file.
I've got two questions 1)I've noticed that Blend node behaves unpredictably sometimes. For example it can output 2048 being relative to input while both inputs are 512 2)Can I set resolution of few nodes with one control? For example I want my texture to change from 512 to 1024 in Unreal but I have 3-4 nodes which are…
Hey, dudes! I've been tinkering a bit and trying to wrap my head around getting a procedural generator along the lines of this; I can get swoopy brush stroked, but nothing to the extent of this image example. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Change the identifier to d for example. Only downside is you might have to link manually for viewport (not too sure). Unfortunately the user data isnt available. For baking you might have to create a custom macro in prefs - projects and edit the default resource name
Hey poopipe, I'm not sure I understand your question... I don't have any issues combining multiple SDF nodes together, as long as the distance fields are not scaled they will work together no problem. Do you have an example of what you are talking about ?
