I don't know if anyone can help answer this but I find the rotation in the viewpoint incredibly frustrating. I am used to Blender, where the camera rotates around the entire object, whereas in SP it seems to rotate around the face I am working on (or some point close to it) If I was working on a cube for example, it means…
The maps in Substance Painter are not calibrated the same way as the one in Toolbag 2. Try to use one of the map from Painter directly into Toolbag 2 (you can find them in the shelf/algorithmic folder).
Hmm Marina Del Ray, too far for me at least. Even living in LA thats over an hour drive, possibly more, given our traffic. Hopefully any highlights can find their way on the interwebs.
Depends on your pipeline, but at this point you will get far more out of designer than painter. Designer is solid, proven, gets great bake results. Painter isnt even finished and is still trying to find itself.
Most of the alphas shipped in Painter are simple sbsar that can be opened in the Substance Player. You can export them as textures from there. You can find the default alphas in "My Documents\Substance Painter\shelf\allegorithmic\alphas".
I had a question about using Substances in the new Painter releases. Is it impossible to just import a .sbs file? If not, what is the best way to handle changes being made in SD that propagate to Painter? I remember a video on this but could not find it.
No problem :D If you have a hard time finding it in your library list later on, you need to click the tab just under LIBRARY titled 'All Games' and change it to 'All Software', or just 'Installed' and Painter should appear in the list.
Hey there, I am using 2.4.1 when I import a normal map into my project and tag it as a texture I am unable to find it in the shelf afterwards even when I search for it's name directly. Is there something I am missing?
How does the text tool now work since the new UI? I used to just drag one of the text alphas into the brush alpha and edit the text... there now isn't a text box below the alpha? Is there some documentation on this? I can't find it on the site. Cheers.
