think this is about all i'm going to manage today - still a few small things left, but mostly got the accessories done. Next step is the flying doohickey, but that might have to wait till the weekend...
so, time for some iterations! been working on seeing if i can improve the diffuse texture next, got to look at all my mask textures and see what needs improving there...(a lot probably)
A lot of cool concepts pixel, But I think the original was the best. Cauldron has that 'cute' courier look, and it's gotta be a leprechaun. The pirate hats and whatnot don't fit. Leprechauns/dota/valve i don't know, but I think that's the best of all.
hehe that was exactky my thought, you could have strated right from the first sketch, the new one doesn't give any more information needed for the 3d progress, but you're not doing all this just for the sake of efficiency, anyways good job :)
yup - its a mandrill all right (well, mostly - theres a bit of artistic license!) just got on my home pc and realised the colours on my laptop are a bit out of whack - its a lot more, er, "vibrant" than i intended. I'll sort it out though!
Courier's looking great pixelherder. To get the referenced animations working ingame you need to make sure all the bone names are matching. Either change you reference settings so it doesn't alter any bone names, or just rename the bones before export (easy in max, not sure about maya's rename tools).
yeah, good point! this is a quick thumbnail really, but i'll work out this and a few other issues as i go along...by the way, thanks for all the feedback, much appreciated! *edit* has photobucket got worse recently? really noticing the artifacts - might need to look into some alternative, so if anyone has any suggestions...
Well it kind of depends... A faun is (As far as I know) a sort of elf that just has some bodyparts and a slightly goatlike face. The sllighty raised eyebrows give it a less serious and more brighter look wich I guess is a bit more courier like than the lowered eyebrow/serious look. wich could almost be hero or NPC like.…
i know what you mean - as i sculpted thats what seemed to come out more it doesnt help that i'm trying to model in a fairly neutral facial expression, but i'm half thinking that instead of cute this guy could be more sly and cunning. He is goat based after all. And heres a bit from wikipedia thats inspired him a bit "The…
So after a very productive and zbrush intensive last week, all artistic progress has ground to a halt as the last few days have been spent researching a "simple" rigging solution Which has been a right pain in the monkey nuts there are lots of "auto-rigging" scripts, but a most of them seem only to deal with basic human…
