Decided to revive this and try and finish it this week. Right now just testing some foliage in the scene, just getting a feel for it. Lots more to place around.
Vault Dweller :Mmm depends on the engine , for example in UDK you can see the measures in bottom right corner, is also a good a idea to have an actor or model that comes from the engine, again in UDK we usually have an exported models from the game wich is already scaled , just compare the model with your props. Posted…
@WarrenM: truely right ! You must do your mask, spec, height etc... in R,G,B channel! It's better than have one RGB by grayscale texture or an alpha channel compressed in DXT5 ! @sybrix: for the moment I did my preview texture in marmoset, just because I don't want to manage my UDK's packages and shaders immediately, I…
skeletal_raven_arts : you may want to have an actor or character to scaled right you scene , if you are planning on using udk you can export a model by going into the browser editor.
Yes the tiling soil texture on the right of the image just drew my eye I think as its a bit more noisier than the surroundings once you revisit the slabs the problem should disappear : )
Just make sure your units in engine are set up right, try things out and export it. I prefer to use 1, 0.75, .5, . 25 meter segments for all my walls and floors this way everything can be used modularlity in cryengine and can sometimes help in general. Just find a balance between what feels right to walk around and the…
Hello guys, i'm just new to modeling scenes like this, but I try my best to finish it) Here something what I started to do few days ago and right now i'm working on column.
I think i'm gonna get into this, maybe a bit late, but its time to get off my ass and work! It's alright if a total noob does this, right? My stuff will probably be total crap but it will be a great learning experience.
well, the thing is that the image isn't 100% accurate by far perspective wise. Also I thought it was best to stick to the rule of 2* ? if you just go with the concept you will get something out of proportions from future meshes right ?
