I started learning UDK a few weeks ago, figure it was about time I finally at least try and make something with it, and holy shit am I fucking loving this engine! Been basically following Tor Frick and Hourences tutorials and making this test scene at the same time, using same techniques and so on, so half the credit goes…
Just discovered how to utilize smart objects in photoshop during the tiling texture workflow process. Tryna put it to good use ya'll. Aiming for a lunar, wartorn terrain. This render sits the texture at about 512.
All done :) sits around 6k with old school style cell shading and a 1024 map but that could come down to 512 without too much bother- I just prefer the crisp lines the higher rez textures give it :) Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Attempted to do a 1 texture environment while learning nDo2 and dDo. I failed, I ended up with 1024 D/S/N/E, 256 D/S/N and a 512 D for decals. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
