@Spudnik I used masking to make an shape. Than in tool-deformations made and inflate-ballon out of inverted mask selection. After that I flattened the sides with flatten/trim-dynamic brush. Not the best method but it works :)
It's flat, the glowing center could use more geometry, the blue lines are wonky, yellow trim could use some red undertone and the overall shape seems wonky, you may want to spend some time moving those vertices.
You can keep the concept of it being made of single forged pieces by just simply making the trim/logo more weathered; something like this? You can also probably add some more color variation by adding warm-colored tones and lighting, akin to this: and
Maybe I'm being a bit nitpicky, but I think the ogre magi weapon needs a bit more color variation, I think if you make the gold trim a bit more vibrant or saturated, it would really push the peice. Love the progress so far!
I need some help here, I've got the basic low poly model done with a AO base texture I'm happy with but before I go into super polish mode with the texture, I'm torn on what the colors shall be still. I threw together random color combinations, I'm still not completely feeling them. I know for sure I want two basic colors,…
Andyk125: I think the red version looks better than the blue. You could try using self illumination for the eyes so it looks like they're glowing? I think it looks pretty good as is chiniara: The staff looks better with the white trim, liking how it's looking. :)
Kite, this is what I think... roughly. Getting rid of the bridge and compress it a lot and not lose anything really. Then I squished it 20%? Gold and red is the color combo of the year. But I pulled the orange from her hair instead. That center piece hold a lot of weight too, I trimmed it down good
@vikk0 Looks awesome!! Only minor crit not connected with set/sculpt. Some elements and details are to perpendicular to surface and adding bevel/trim could help to transfer details better to normalmap. Something like this: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1702826&postcount=2 Aside from that I am in love with…
Here's the uber high poly model of my "Helm of the Enchanter" for Enchantress. I just need to bake it onto the lower poly ingame models. But I'm kind of torn on what the color the textures should be. I was originally thinking green and yellow or orange on the trim to match Enchantress' colors but I'm starting to like the…
